We have been learning about and reciting the Apostle's Creed for two week now. The students have received a copy of it to take home to memorize. We will be having a quiz on it on Tues. Feb 17. Please recite it with your child to help them study.
I have also given your child a duotang filled with poems for the primary speech arts. We will be doing an inclass recitation of a poem that the student has memorized. If they choose one that is not in the duotang, please provide a copy.

Can you believe the weather we have been having?!? The kids are definitely having spring fever in the middle of January! I am making sure that they have a jacket or sweater before going outside for recess, as it still gets chilly outside.
We started reading groups last week. Students are reading at different levels and have different in class activities to finish. These are not assigned for homework except for the rare occasion that they do not finish them in the time allotted (one story a week).
Please note that we do not have school on Friday, as it is our Staff Retreat.

Spelling Unit 15 is due on Thurs.
Jan Book orders are due on Thurs as well.

Hello Grade Three Families! It's nice to be back to normal and routines and to see these lovely children again! While vacations are nice, there's no place like home! They had a nice time with our sub last week and he reported to me that the class behaved nicely for him (albeit very chatty :).
There are a few reminders:
- A letter went home with the oldest/only child today, please read it as it has a lot of important information.
- Just a reminder that while gym t-shirts are optional in Grade 3, gym shorts still need to be worn on PE days. Also, girls are allowed to wear pants and tunics, not skirts.
- Any outstanding library books need to be sent to school ASAP.
-Hot lunch on Wednesday.

Penpal response rough draft- due WED
