"Lent
is a special time when you can share the concepts of prayer and giving
with your children. Take family time each day to offer devotional
prayers. Consider as a family how you might help others in need
by giving of your time or resources. Even very young children
can understand and will enjoy participating in the process.
As a mother, carve out time in your day for your own special prayer
time. This may involve early rising or time spent away from
a favorite hobby or activity." -- catholicmom.com
Today we ate pancakes for snack, courtesy of The Knights of Columbus, to celebrate Shrove Tuesday. Tomorrow we will have an Ash Wednesday Mass at 9:00 to help us start our Lenten journey. We ask that students bring a simple lunch free of treats and meat if possible. We will not be providing a bun lunch this year.
Please check the last blog post for important dates coming up. All re-registration papers are due tomorrow. Your child is also bringing home their student led times. If your third grader is the oldest, they also have the times for younger siblings.
Homework:

2. Word problem w/s
3. Map of my heart
No spelling this week (I'm sure they have already told you that!)
